About
Untitled: Self-Discovery and Journaling Cards were designed to help you tap into the power of your own story so you can first connect to yourself and then with others.
About the Untitled: Self-Discovery and Journaling Card Deck
Everyone has a story and we need the connection that the power of words and stories bring to our lives. When we connect with others through our stories, we learn about ourselves, we learn about others, and we can heal parts of ourselves — even parts we didn’t know needed to feel that relief of healing and connection. Words are powerful.
Remember, you get to say what the title is because it's your story.
When we know ourselves better, everything else falls into place. Tap into your own creativity and learn about yourself.
When you do, you’ll begin to discover new things that you may not even be aware of and heal yourself with the power of your own story so you can communicate clearly and connect effectively with others.
By connecting with others through our stories, we learn about ourselves, we learn about others, and we can heal parts of ourselves — even parts we didn’t know needed to feel that relief of healing and connection. Words are powerful.
Use this deck to guide you in your writing practice to heal, discover, and maybe even share your words. Let the cards guide you to the story you need to write today.
You get to say what the title is because it’s your story.
How it all came to be…
Last January, I shared an idea with a mastermind group I’m in. I said something like, “Hey, I think a deck of story starters for marketing would be a great idea! So when you’re stuck, you can pull a card and get a prompt to write about.”
Then I immediately got busy doing something else. The idea was always in the back of my mind, though I resisted it because it didn’t feel quite right — something was missing.
What’s missing is our connection to self. We have to know how we feel about ourselves before we can ever begin to connect with others.
Once I realized that was the missing piece, the thing that needs to come before anything else, everything came together.
Why I created these cards
I am not a surface person. Just about anyone who knows me knows that I don’t do surface-anything.
I’d rather go deep down rather than flat and wide and this deck is a reflection of that. The prompts allow you to get really deep into yourself for exploration that goes beyond the surface.
Inside the deck, you’ll find more than just “standard” journal prompts. My vision is to help people dig into their values, beliefs, and mindset to unlock the stories we all hold and help us heal so we can share our experiences with others to create more connection in the world.
I’m Angelica, creator of Untitled Cards
I have always been a “writer,” but my first true experience with journaling came when I took a non-credit journaling course at the local community college with my mom when I was about 9. It gave me an outlet that allowed me to express myself. As an only child experiencing the divorce of her parents, having that space was a god-send when I didn’t know what was happening or how to talk about it with anyone.
Since then, I’ve gone through many, many notebooks… writing my fears, desires, love notes, beliefs, and (when I had nothing to say) sometimes I’d just say “I need to write but wtf do I write about??”
Hence, becoming obsessed with not only finding journal prompts, but finding ones that fuel my desire to deeply explore and sort through all the emotions.
I’m a serial list-maker, content creator, and copywriter in Pittsburgh. I’m also a story- teller by nature and love finding the right words that connect with an audience — and that begins by connecting with yourself first!
I believe in the power of a new notebook, the healing properties of cinnamon rolls, and that I’m four people according to the serving size of most recipes.
Also, that my dog is part dog / part bigfoot. He’s a Pointer/Husky mix, but my dad calls him a Yointer (mix of Yeti and Pointer) thanks to his abnormally large paws. Follow me on Instagram and you’ll be treated to many pictures of Jingle!
But what I really want you to do is grab a deck for yourself (and maybe send one as a gift to your friend who loves going deep, too) and start connecting, healing, and exploring!
